Welcome to Hearing Expert. Any order and subsequent purchase of goods or services from Simply Hearing shall be governed by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.

“Hearing Expert” refers to the company trading on the internet at hearingexpert.co.uk.
“We” / “Us” / “Our” refers to Simply Hearing.
“You” / “Yours” refers to the Customer.

Customer Obligations

By submitting your order to Hearing Expert, you confirm:

You are aged 18 or over.
You have had a hearing assessment within the past 6 months, including case history, otoscopy, and a hearing test.
You are aware that you are purchasing hearing aids only, programmed to your audiogram, with no inclusive aftercare services.
You must submit a medical questionnaire and a valid audiogram before your hearing aid purchase is accepted.
You are purchasing these hearing aids for personal use only, not for competitive research, resale, or any other purpose.

Orders for Goods

Orders must be submitted via the web at hearingexpert.co.uk
Submission of an order represents an offer to purchase goods, and we may confirm receipt via email. Orders are accepted only once your payment has been processed, and we have confirmed your order via email. Orders constitute acceptance of our privacy policy.

Limitations of Supply

While we strive to fulfill all orders, we cannot guarantee the availability of goods. If your chosen product is unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund. If we cannot reach you, your order will be canceled, and a full refund will be issued.

Prices and Payment

For UK shipments, prices include any applicable Value Added Tax (VAT).
We endeavor to ensure accurate pricing on our website but reserve the right to correct errors. If a pricing error occurs, we will notify you before formally accepting your order, allowing you to accept the correct price or cancel your order.

Medical Evaluation Disclaimer

In many countries, including the United States, it is recommended to obtain a professional medical evaluation before purchasing hearing aids. If you choose not to obtain a medical evaluation, we are required by law in the United States to obtain a signed written waiver. By checking the terms and conditions box, you indemnify Simply Hearing Ltd against any claims arising from this situation.

Warranty Information

All hearing aids sold through Simply Hearing Ltd carry a full manufacturer warranty.

Phonak: 5-year UK warranty, 1-year international warranty.
Resound: 5-year UK warranty, no international warranty.
Signia: 2-year UK warranty, 2-year international warranty.

For repairs outside the UK or beyond international warranty cover, we recommend sending the device to us via insured and tracked postage. We will forward it to the manufacturer for UK warranty consideration and return it to you at your cost.

Important Warranty Limitations:

Warranties do not cover damage from improper handling, exposure to chemicals, undue stress, or unauthorized repairs.
Warranties exclude in-office services by hearing care professionals.

Testing, Fitting, and Follow-Up Guidance

You confirm that you have had an audiological assessment within the last 6 months, including otoscopy and a diagnostic audiogram.
You have been recommended hearing aids or are an existing hearing aid user.
If onward medical referral was advised, details must be included in the medical questionnaire. We will review your responses and may request further information. If we determine it is inappropriate to supply hearing aids, a full refund will be issued.
Local audiologists may offer hearing tests free of charge or at a cost (typically around £80). Your audiogram will be reviewed for validity before your purchase is accepted.
We recommend a ‘real ear measurement’ and speech assessment to optimize your hearing aid performance. This service may cost around £150.
Regular check-ups (every 6 to 12 months) are advised to maintain performance. A 15-30 minute session may cost £50 – £100.
